at Insight Global in Prospect Harbor, Maine, United States Job Description Job Description Insight Global is supporting a rapidly growing seafood processing and distribution company based in Prospect Harbor, Maine. The company specializes in sourcing, processing, and distributing lobster, crab, tuna, halibut, sardines, and other seafood products to restaurants, retailers, and distributors throughout the United States. With ambitious growth plans to expand from approximately 25 employees to over 120 employees in the next year, this is an exciting opportunity to join a company during a period of significant expansion.
Position Overview:
Insight Global's client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation of its seafood processing facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting equipment, and is willing to wear multiple hats in a growing organization. Prior extensive maintenance experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for technical school graduates, entry-level maintenance professionals, or individuals with strong mechanical aptitude looking to grow their careers. Job Responsibilities
  • Perform basic maintenance and repair activities on processing equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues as they arise.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Support the Facilities Manager and maintenance team with daily maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects as the company continues to grow.
  • Work cross-functionally with production and operations teams to support plant efficiency.
  • Follow all company safety policies and food processing regulations.
