Shipyard / Maritime Maintenance Position Summary Talent Source is currently seeking 30 Shipyard Maintenance Technicians for temp-to-perm opportunities supporting shipyard maintenance operations in Norfolk, Virginia and Kittery, Maine. We are looking for dependable, hands-on individuals with general maintenance experience and exposure to multiple skilled trades. Candidates do not need to be experts in every area, but should be comfortable performing and assisting with a variety of maintenance-related tasks in an industrial or shipyard environment. Preferred Experience Candidates should have experience in several of the following areas: Plumbing Pipefitting Sheet Metal Welding Electrical Painting General industrial or shipyard maintenance Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repair work throughout the shipyard. Assist with plumbing and pipefitting installations, repairs, and maintenance. Perform basic sheet metal fabrication, installation, or repair work as needed. Assist with welding-related tasks when qualified. Support basic electrical maintenance and repair activities. Perform surface preparation, painting, and general preservation work. Safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Follow all shipyard safety procedures and job-site requirements. Work effectively as part of a multi-craft maintenance team. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned based on project needs. Qualifications Previous shipyard, industrial, facilities, construction, or general maintenance experience preferred. Experience in multiple maintenance trades is highly preferred. Must be versatile and willing to perform different types of maintenance work depending on project needs. Must be DBIDS eligible. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be dependable and able to report to work consistently and on time. Must be comfortable working in an active shipyard or industrial environment. Must be able to follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
