About Us Standard Management is a local property management company serving residential properties across central and western Maine, including the Waterville, Augusta, and Rumford areas. We're focused on safe, well-maintained homes and fast, dependable service for our tenants - and we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our small, supportive team. The Role You'll handle day-to-day repairs, unit turns, and preventative maintenance across our residential portfolio. Work locations vary between our Waterville, Augusta, and Rumford properties, so reliable transportation and flexibility are a must. It's a great fit for someone versatile, reliable, and comfortable working independently. What You'll Do Perform general residential repairs: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and basic HVAC troubleshooting Complete maintenance requests promptly and professionally Conduct regular property inspections and preventative maintenance Turn units between tenants (patching, painting, cleaning, fixture replacement, etc.) Keep tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working order Interact respectfully with tenants and communicate clearly with management What You Bring Experience in maintenance, repairs, or a related trade Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to travel between sites in the Waterville, Augusta, and Rumford areas Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently A dependable, professional, tenant-focused attitude What We Offer Competitive hourly pay ($20-$25) based on experience Stable, year-round work Supportive, small-team environment Schedule & Location Full-time, in person; travel required between Waterville, Augusta, and Rumford Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Rotating weekend on-call coverage
