Job Title:
Facility Grounds/Composting Technician Estimated Pay Range based onExperience:
$21-$23/Hour Windham, MEJob Responsibilities:
To participate on a team of maintenance technicians responsible for repairs and maintenance of facility buildings, equipment and grounds, maintain compost and incinerator operations, facility security, with all activities conducted within Company goals, animal welfare and DEP regulations and cGMP compliance.Responsibilities and Duties:
1.Assists with preventative maintenance and repairs to facility buildings and equipment, to include electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and related tasks. 2.Assists with upkeep of facility grounds to include lawn mowing, maintaining gardens, trees and shrubs, snow removal, sanding, and related tasks. 3.Assists with facility security, including alarm systems, generators, weekend coverage, and related tasks. 4.Assists with facility janitorial services, to include cleaning and maintenance of laboratories, offices, lunchrooms and common areas, and related tasks. 5.Assists with compost and incinerator operations to include mixing, stacking, inventory, equipment, and related tasks. 6.Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment. 7.Building skills such as operating tools, equipment, reading measurements, and general construction knowledge. 8.Operate the skid-steer loader, tractor, farm truck, and manure tanker and pumps. 9.General mechanical skills such as repairs to facilities, equipment, animal areas, and scheduled maintenance.Qualifications:
(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education, Experience, Job Skills, Equipment Skills, and Certifications) 1.High school diploma or equivalent 2.Experience in general construction, mechanical repairs, and/or maintenance. 3.Familiarity in at least one trade for example, carpentry, electrical, plumbing etc. 4.Familiar with animal welfare regulations. 5.Completion of SBS safety, and standard operating procedures training.Abilities:
1.Able to multi-task 2.Understand and follow written and oral instructions and work independently. 3.Able to understand manuals, and standard operating procedures. 4.Ability to operate equipment such as the skid-steer loader, farm truck, shop equipment, etc. 5.Ability to document activities and results in written or computerized log. Work Environment /Other Requirements:
Exposure to outside working conditions in all seasons. Exposure to manure, fumes, dust, noise, chemicals, and precarious places. Able to lift 100 lbs., climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Occasional overtime and weekend work required. Rotation of 24-hour on call coverage required.Benefits:
