Job Description
Oil Burner Maintenance Technician Estes Oil & Propane - York, Maine Estes Oil & Propane is seeking an experienced, licensed Oil Burner Technician for a position focused exclusively on scheduled preventative maintenance and annual equipment cleanings. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who would like to remain in the trade while transitioning away from physically demanding installations, complex diagnostic service calls, and emergency service. Position Responsibilities Perform approximately four scheduled oil burner cleanings and preventative maintenance appointments per day Complete thorough annual maintenance on residential oil heating equipment Identify and document equipment concerns requiring additional service or repair Communicate recommended follow-up work to our service department Maintain accurate service records Provide professional and courteous customer service Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and work area Position Structure This role is specifically focused on scheduled maintenance . The technician will not be responsible for: Equipment installations or replacements Major repair work Complex diagnostic service calls Emergency or after-hours service rotation, Option to add for more hours. Heavy installation-related work Our goal is to provide an experienced technician with a consistent, predictable workday focused on preventative maintenance. Qualifications Current applicable Maine oil burner license/Propane License Previous experience servicing and maintaining residential oil and propane heating equipment Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to work independently and manage a scheduled route Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Professional communication and customer service skills Schedule Monday-Friday | 7:30-4:30 Approximately four scheduled maintenance appointments per day, allowing sufficient time to complete each cleaning properly without the demands of a traditional service technician schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned technician who wants to continue using their experience and technical knowledge in a more focused, predictable role.
