Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Maintenance Staff member to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventative tasks across various building systems and equipment. Your proactive approach will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately and efficiently. Operate carpentry tools, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs or modifications as needed. Maintain facilities equipment including painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general building interior upkeep to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee the proper use of safety protocols during all repair activities. Collaborate with team members to coordinate repairs or upgrades in manufacturing or residential environments while ensuring excellent customer service. Lead small teams or supervise contractors during specific projects or routine maintenance activities when required. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance, repair operations (MRO), or related fields with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical wiring, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical equipment repair. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately. Strong electrical experience including electrical work and electrical equipment repair. Experience with building interior maintenance including painting (residential or maintenance painting), carpentry, plumbing repairs, and HVAC system troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks clearly with team members and vendors. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, working at heights or confined spaces safely.
