Job Description

SUMMARY:
BWD Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician who has working knowledge and skills to perform necessary electrical and mechanical maintenance processes. This professional applies experience and skills to complete assigned work to keep our manufacturing equipment and overall facility operating optimally. They are expected to follow standard operating procedures to accomplish team objectives safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and automation problems, identify opportunities for improvement, learn new concepts and equipment quickly and communicate effectively and positively with team members and associates.
Salary Range:
$35-42 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain the following electrical equipment that includes lighting, PLCs, drives, power systems, Robots, various sensors, chillers, welding lasers, shears and other production equipment.
  • Read and interpret specifications and circuit diagrams.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Investigate root causes of failures.
  • Troubleshoot and make changes to PLC programs.
  • Coordinate with schedulers to complete routine maintenance and prepare for upcoming projects, ensuring that production remains unhindered.
  • Document repairs and gather reference materials.
  • Follow safety protocols and company policies.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development.
  • Provide on-call support for critical system failures.
  • Assist in training junior technicians and new hires.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • "Safety First" mindset.
  • Advanced electrical knowledge. Schematics, PLC module and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Able to develop new and recurring maintenance activities tailored to the equipment.
  • Work well in a group setting.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word and Excel
  • Understands ladder logic.
  • Basic knowledge of low voltage systems.
Pay:
$35.00 - $42.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
