Maintenance Technician A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating, troubleshooting, and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around the facility and grounds in general, along with maintaining appropriate equipment documentation. A steadfast "get the job done" attitude and passion for customer service is a requirement. The candidate is self-motivating, driven to succeed has good interpersonal and communication skills Performing routine maintenance around the facility and grounds such as fixing structural or cosmetic damages, for example window, door, siding repair. General upkeep of the facility and grounds. Keeping the maintenance tool crib organized and clean. Assisting with preventive maintenance measures to ensure critical equipment is tested and in good working order. Fixing potential safety hazards when identified. Responding to general repair tickets from tenants or other ACS staff. Basic carpentry skills, using hand tools and power tools Painting Demolition and assistance with new projects as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Understanding of how to operate power/hand tools common to maintenance activities Capable of driving a forklift, scissor lift, and/or boom lift High School Diploma or equivalent The ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Must be a US citizen Physical Demands Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Standing and walking for long periods of time Occasional use of ladders and climbing Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching May require repetitive movement of fingers and pressure on wrists and hands during use of power tools. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Works in noisy environments.
