Maintenance Technician Job Description This entry-level maintenance technician position involves handling facilities maintenance tasks, such as shoveling, with tools provided onsite You will play a crucial role in supporting the Maintenance Manager to ensure all production equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards Job Responsibilities Coordinate with various departments and external contractors for operations, improvements, or equipment upgrades, including Environmental, Health and Safety, Engineering, Waste Water Treatment, and Manufacturing Work with Safety & Regulatory compliance agencies to ensure all safety protocols are met Direct the preventive maintenance program and oversee general repairs Supervise the maintenance staff and manage department budget and parts inventory Train and develop mechanics to enhance their skills and knowledge Essential Skills Hands-on experience in pipe fitting, welding, electrical, and general equipment repair Excellent communication and computer skills Fork Truck operation skills Availability for off-hours work, including weekends, as needed Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Ferndale, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
