Job Description

Summary McLaren Flint is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Flint hospital. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitals and clinics by maintaining critical systems and equipment.

$21.35 to $23.92 based on experience and union contract
Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager repairs, installs, adjusts, monitors, and maintains building HVAC/R, plumbing and electrical systems and performs skilled maintenance and repair tasks of the hospital building systems.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Possess a building maintenance certificate or equivalent experience. Must possess valid State of Michigan Operator's license Must meet approval by insurance carrier to drive hospital vehicles
Preferred Qualifications:
4th class power engineering certification from NIULPE (National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers, Inc.) or has Third Class Stationary Engineer, licensed/registered by the State of Michigan Certification as a Health Care Mechanic or Health Care Engineer, as accredited by MECH or the Healthcare Facilities Alliance or similar agency. Previous experience in HVAC/R systems maintenance in a health care setting. Previous experience working alone, without assistance. #
