OEM Full Job Description Who We Are:
CBS Boring is a multi-plant contract manufacturer, providing powertrain components to the Automotive, Diesel Engine and Military industries. Components manufactured include Engine Blocks, Cylinder Heads and Transmission Housings produced on a JIT basis with the capacity to meet volumes of 500 to 1,000,000 annually. We are a full-service machining supplier. Our products span across many industries and uses. We have the ability to meet the needs of the most demanding applications.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting and evaluation of mechanical malfunctions for repair planning
  • Perform a wide range of repairs to 4 axis Horizontal CNC equipment including but not limited to mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical blueprints.
  • Experience with Fanuc controls, ladders, and parameters.
  • Machine geometry adjustment and or re-build to OEM specifications.
  • Facility maintenance such as compressors, cranes, hydraulic pumps, etc.
  • Create work orders as needed for repair items.
  • Document equipment repairs for traceability and repair effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the engineering dept. to reverse engineer components as needed.
  • Support with preventative maintenance to all equipment.
  • Detect and report unusual conditions to supervisor.

Qualifications/Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance & machine repair
  • Must have high mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.
  • Must provide own tools as specified.
Working Conditions:
  • Manufacturing plant shop environment
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the benefits:
