thursdays off 10am-4:30pm and 10am to 5pm on friday and sat 6 days a week, thursdays off please do not apply if you do not already have maint exp, must be organized, good with drywall work, understand about taking care of our indoor swimming pool, electrical, plumbing Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of facility maintenance, ensuring all aspects of the hotel's infrastructure are functioning optimally. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic hospitality setting, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, building interior features, and facilities equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend asset lifespan. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters; handle electrical work with safety and precision. Conduct HVAC system repairs, including diagnosing issues with air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and thermostats to ensure optimal climate control. Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and maintaining plumbing infrastructure. Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding equipment, hand tools, and other maintenance machinery efficiently. Lead building interior maintenance tasks such as painting (including residential painting), carpentry repairs, drywall patching, and general facilities upkeep. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including schematics updates, work orders, incident reports, and inventory logs for MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) supplies. Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks while providing excellent customer service to hotel guests and staff by addressing maintenance requests promptly. Supervise or assist with the training of junior maintenance staff or contractors when necessary to ensure high-quality work standards are met. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality or residential sector. Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and use testing tools like ohmmeters effectively. Mechanical knowledge covering HVAC systems repair, plumbing system maintenance, carpentry skills, welding techniques, and general building interior upkeep. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, HVAC systems troubleshooting, and MRO procedures. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with maintenance painting is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, schematics interpretation, plumbing systems maintenance, electrical work practices, and facilities equipment management. Leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks independently while working in a fast-paced environment.
