Maintenance & Grounds Technician, Part-time Catholic Diocese of Lansing Grand Blanc, MI Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Moving Driver's License Load & unload Full Job Description Holy Family Parish in Grand Blanc is seeking a Maintenance & Grounds Technician. This is a part-time (20 hrs per week), non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Campus Operations & Events.
General Summary:
Role is to provide preventative and routine maintenance on all parish equipment, buildings, grounds, and vehicles to ensure safety to all persons, including staff and visitors, and to extend the life and appearance of these items. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Performs a variety of facility and equipment maintenance duties. Is responsible for preventative as well as routine maintenance for the buildings and grounds that make up our campus. Responsible for the repair and renovation to buildings as skillset allows. Basic repair and renovation of some equipment including sinks, commodes, hand basins etc., as skillset allows. Drywall repair and painting duties. Lawn and landscaping / snow removal duties. Moving and transporting furniture and equipment. Perform table and chair set up's in the parish hall for meetings and events. Operates a variety of gas powered trucks and lawn equipment. Performs preventative and routine maintenance on trucks and lawn equipment. Prioritizes and completes maintenance requests in a timely manner. Is responsible for all equipment, vehicles, and tools used. Other duties may be assigned on a project basis.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.Experience:
General mechanical aptitude, ability to use general tools - lawn equipment.Require:
Must have a valid driver's license. Practicing Catholic preferred.Physical Demands:
Must be able to move and load equipment and supplies that weigh 50 pounds or more. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
