from $26/hour based on skills and experience
Position Summary:
This position will perform tasks required to repair equipment and tooling, troubleshoot tool and die problems, keep records and organize equipment. This role must be capable of setting up and operating a variety of machine tools and machining equipment, as well as being able to diagnosis equipment and tooling failures in a manufacturing setting. This position also is required to develop machines, tools, or fixtures with or without a blueprinted design. A high level of creativity and experience using a variety of materials, processes, designs, and mechanical fundamentals is required. Preferred Education and Experience High school diploma or GED 3-5 years documented direct Tool & Die experience required Previous electrical experience with PLC's and equipment preferred Previous experience with sheet metal tooling preferred CNC knowledge and experience preferred Essential Job Functions and Skills include, but are not limited to, the following: Create, repair, set-up, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basics of mechanical principles (presses and drive systems). Orient and/or train other maintenance personnel on maintenance department machines Operate all machines in the tool room to perform required machining tasks. These include but are not limited to: vertical mill, CNC equipment, Presses - both drill and radial, Grinders, Lathes, Welders - mig and tig, Torches Good working relationship and effective communication with vendors, team members, and suppliers Complete and manage work orders via Plex operating system Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, and directed by the leader Why LightCorp?
