Position Summary:
Perform tasks such as troubleshooting and repairing equipment and tooling, developing preventative maintenance, record keeping, and organizing equipment. This role must be capable of setting up and operating a variety of machine tools and machining equipment and diagnosing equipment and tooling failures in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED Tool and Die Maker or Machine builder experience is a plus Basic electrical knowledge is a plus General tool room equipment operation experience (see job function below) Previous CNC knowledge and experience
Deliverables:
Fabrication projects completed by deadlines Timely completion of unplanned work requests Process improvement execution (project results) 80% of work performed is documented in Plex operating system Essential Job Functions and Skills include, but are not limited to, the following: Create, repair, set up, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment Develop machines, tools, or fixtures with or without a blueprinted design A high level of creativity and experience using a variety of materials, processes, designs, and mechanical fundamentals is required Orient and/or train other maintenance personnel on specialized equipment and tasks Operate all machines in the tool room to perform required machining tasks. These include but are not limited to: Milling, both vertical and horizontal CNC equipment Presses, both drill and radial Grinders Lathes Saws, both band and vertical Welders, MIG, and TIG Torches Good working relationships and effective communication with vendors, team members, suppliers, and project teams Complete and manage work orders via Plex operating system Additional functions not explicitly outlined in this position description and directed by the leader Please send your resume to humanresources@lightcorp.com to apply.
