• $95,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Carpentry Siding Customer service High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Van driving Full Job Description Seeking all around Experienced Carpenter/Handyman within 10 miles of Hazel Park mostly to work on rental/construction properties to perform HVAC, general laboring and carpentry tasks including, but not limited to, framing walls, cabinetry repairs, door and lock repairs, landscaping and cleaning, light electrical and light plumbing duties while providing top-notch customer service.

Job duties:

HVAC Carpentry including, but not limited to: Framing Cabinetry Painting and dry wall repairs Light and general cleaning Door and lock replacement Racking and shelving repairs and installation Concrete and masonry repairs We also have an HVAC company so there would be some work involved with this. Helping to install HVAC systems Electrical Plumbing including, but not limited to: Plunging, auguring, and snaking drains Repair and replacement of PVC and galvanized drain lines Repair and replacement of water heaters Repair and replacement of PVC, copper, and galvanized water lines Would like a Carpenter/Handyman who is also experienced with installing

Vinyl Siding Physical Requirements:

Lift 75 pounds unassisted and repetitively Climb ladders Work in confined spaces Work comfortably at all heights Work on feet for 8-10 hours or longer Work environment: May work indoors or outdoors, depending on job Conditions include cold, wintery conditions, to hot, high humidity summer-like conditions. Technician may also be required to work in raining or snowing conditions.

Skills and abilities:

Ability to drive safely and cautiously Strong customer service skills Able to communicate verbally or written Strong attention to detail Able to follow directions Ability to work well independently and as a team Strong problem solving ability

Requirements:

2-3 years of related experience preferred Maintain valid driving license with clean driving record High school diploma or GED equivalent Maintain clean criminal background Must have reliable transportation to and from work Have (or obtain) all necessary tools to perform assignments on a daily basis Be available to work a flexible schedule with varying start & stop times

REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years minimum experience ( with work references)
• Reliable Truck or Van ( to be able to get materials when necessary)
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to take direction
• Work with a team
• Work alone
• Must be able to brainstorm, troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must understand all phases of renovations Normal work week is 40 hours.

Once in a while we have had to work some over time depending on the project schedule and progress. Should live within 10 miles of Hazel Park.
