Automotive Manufacturing Join Our Team! We are seeking a skilled Maintenance / Tooling Technician to support our automotive welding operations. This position is responsible for adjusting, repairing, and building welding fixtures and production tooling to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. If you enjoy troubleshooting mechanical issues, fabricating tooling solutions, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities- Adjust, repair, and maintain welding fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
- Diagnose and correct fixture-related quality and production issues.
- Fabricate new tooling, locator pins, brackets, and fixture components as needed.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and machining operations.
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve tooling performance.
- Support preventive maintenance activities on fixtures and production equipment.
- Modify existing tooling to accommodate engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems associated with welding fixtures.
- Maintain accurate records of tooling repairs and modifications.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Qualifications
- Experience in a tooling, maintenance, machinist, or fabrication role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and weld fixture layouts.
- Experience with MIG welding, fabrication, and general metalworking equipment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Experience with robotic welding fixtures is a plus.
- Ability to operate mill, lathe, grinders, saws, and basic machine shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Preferred Skills
