Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the Role As a Plant Equipment Technician, you will serve as a critical partner in optimizing production reliability and driving operational excellence. You will leverage your technical expertise to diagnose complex electro-mechanical issues, mentor team members, and spearhead process improvements to ensure maximum line efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex electro-mechanical and electrical faults using schematics and technical manuals with minimal oversight. Execute preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of critical production assets. Manage spare parts inventory, including requisitioning components and adhering to strict withdrawal and return protocols. Lead cross-functional teams in identifying root causes of recurring failures and developing actionable improvement plans. Utilize machine shop equipment and precision tools to fabricate or repair specialized parts. Document maintenance activities and update ERP systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and regulatory compliance. Foster a culture of safety and collaboration by training shift technicians and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Provide on-call technical support to ensure continuous plant operations and rapid incident response. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment. Advanced mechanical aptitude with proficiency in 120/208/240/480 voltage systems and pneumatics. Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to establish cause-and-effect relationships in a fast-paced setting. Preferred Skills Completion of a vocational or trade school program in electro-mechanical technology. Experience with ISO-compliant quality processes and documentation. Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring or guiding technical staff. Proficiency in ERP software such as SAP for data management and reporting.
