The position is a direct hire on a third shift (midnights) with competitive hourly rates (with rapid raises every 90 days) and benefits (100% employer paid).

10:00 PM-6:00 AM. Will train on a day shift.

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, installation, repair, fabrication, and preventative maintenance tasks on Steel Processing equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshooting, installation, repair, fabrication and preventative maintenance of cranes, forklifts, annealing furnaces, gas generators, draw machines, and other industrial equipment is desired. Diesel mechanic and forklift repair experience is a plus. Qualifications Experience with cranes, forklifts, annealing furnaces, gas generators, draw machines, and other industrial equipment is desired Exceptional mechanical aptitude Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and steel products. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic math and measurement skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Forklift experience or certification is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and climb. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds as required. Ability to work around noise, dust, metal products, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Ability to safely perform duties while wearing required PPE. Work Environment This position is performed in a steel processing/manufacturing plant . Employees may be exposed to industrial machinery, steel products, overhead material movement, noise, heat, dust, and other typical manufacturing conditions. Strict adherence to safety procedures is required at all times. Schedule Full-time position Must be willing to work assigned shifts Overtime may be required based on production needs

$25.51 - $29.56 per hour
