Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will focus on mechanical systems across CNC machining, industrial washers, heat treat processes, and conveyors lines You will be working closely with electricians to minimize downtime and maintain a strong preventive maintenance program in a modern, air-conditioned plant Job Responsibilities Perform mechanical maintenance and repair on production equipment, including CNC machines, industrial washers, heat treat systems, conveyors, and assembly equipment to ensure continuous operation Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, including pumps and control valves, identifying root causes of failures and implementing effective repairs Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic systems, including control valves and conveying systems, testing cylinder seals, and checking fittings and valves for leaks Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, understanding their function, bearings, and related mechanical components to restore and maintain reliable operation Execute preventive maintenance tasks on a high volume of equipment, staying on top of 500-600 preventive maintenance activities each month to reduce unplanned downtime Essential Skills At least 7 years of experience working in an industrial setting, preferably in automotive manufacturing or a similar high-volume production environment Strong hydraulic troubleshooting skills, including understanding how pumps and control valves operate and how to diagnose and correct hydraulic issues Strong pneumatic troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with air pneumatics, control valves, conveying systems, cylinder seals, and leak detection in fittings and valves Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing conveyor systems, including knowledge of their function and bearing maintenance Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance, including planning, executing, and documenting preventive tasks to keep machines running reliably Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Marysville, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.25 - $36.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
