Job Description

Job Summary:
The Industrial Technician will be responsible for the mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and repairs of all plant and facilities equipment and production machinery. Must also be self-motivated, have the ability to trouble shoot, diagnose, and resolve issues in a production Casting and Machining environment. Candidate will also be expected to perform Preventative/predictive maintenance and conform to all OSHA and Linamar Montague standards. Responsibilities Troubleshoot using PLC's Locate and replace faulty electrical components Complete electrical projects Possess knowledge of high voltage applications Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of all plant and production machinery to include hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical assemblies Fabricate various levels of mechanical assemblies from raw materials Perform, analyze, and interpret various types of test equipment Work with production personnel to develop solutions to quality issues as well as continuous improvement projects Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the maintenance supervisor Complies with the following
OSHA Safety Standards:
Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job Other duties as assigned Academic Requirements High School graduation or equivalent required 3-5 Years of experience in industrial maintenance Required Skills & Experience Lock out / Tag out Procedures Confined space entry Hot work permit Operation of industrial equipment Industrial safety guidelines Works in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment Must work with a high degree of accuracy The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate The job works in conditions with constant exposure (67% or more) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc. Some overnight travel may be required Confined sitting Walking Repetitive lifting of objects (under 5 lbs., over 5 lbs.) Repetitive manual movements (e.g., keyboarding) Carrying pushing or pulling objects (under 5 lbs., over 5 lbs.) Crouching, climbing Health, Safety and Environmental Follow the Health, Safety and Environmental Program as reflected in the Health and Safety Policy Statement as well as the Environmental Management System (EMS). Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality Policy. Complies with the following
