Maintenance TechnicianOrion Plant - Auburn Hills, MI As a member of the Maintenance team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated production equipment. This position diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, and computercontrolled systems, executes preventive maintenance, and supports production teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing systemsRead and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprintsPerform preventative maintenance per schedules and standardsSupport production teamsSupport startup, commissioning, and validation of new or modified equipmentFollow all safety, OSHA, and plant procedures, including lockout/tagout.

Dismantle mechanical devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Maintain, install, and repair electrical equipment.

Troubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose/repair malfunctionsMake approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needsRepair or replace defective partsLubricate and clean partsStart devices to test their performance.

Set up and operate mill, lathe, drill press, and other metalworking tools to make and repair partsInstall new machinery and equipment as directedFabricate approved fixturing for production use
Physical Requirements:
Standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs or ladders, bending/crouching.

The ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.

Your Qualifications:
3+ Years experience in the manufacturing maintenance fieldElectricalMechanicalProblem SolvingAbility to work independent and a part of a teamAble to work overtime and weekendsExperience in automotive production and high-volume manufacturingStrong understanding of electrical/ mechanical/ computer systems workProficiency with industrial automation languageExperience using diagnostic toolsHigh school diploma or GEDTechnical or Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Industrial maintenance, Electronics or related field.

Certifications (Lockout tagout)Licenses (forklift)
Bonus If You Have:
