Job Description
Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting facility and production operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, machinery, and building systems. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and maintains safe, sanitary, and efficient working conditions in accordance with company safety and food safety standards. The Maintenance Technician works closely with Production and Management to support operational needs and may assist with general facility tasks as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and sanitation guidelines.
- Practice and maintain all safety and Food Safety requirements.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic plumbing issues.
- Inspect equipment for proper operation, wear, and safety concerns, report and correct deficiencies.
- Clean, service, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with sanitation standards.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to troubleshoot issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Process and complete maintenance paperwork, work orders, and documentation as required.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, lifts, or other material-handling equipment as needed (certified on-site).
- Assist with facility maintenance including lighting, doors, floors, piping, and general building repairs.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safe work habits in all maintenance and work areas.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality while adhering to all Paycom, time clock, and PTO procedures.
- Support team members and follow supervisor and/or manager instructions as business needs evolve. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Credentials, Experience License, etc.
- Maintenance, industrial, or facilities experience preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain forklift certification (training available) Work Environment/Physical Demand Work is performed in indoor and outdoor production and facility areas and may involve varying temperatures, humidity, dust, and noise.
