Maintenance Technician Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering Shelby Charter Township, MI Job Details $25 - $30 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Manufacturing plant facilities maintenance experience Engineering equipment malfunctions diagnostics Pneumatic machine repair Interpreting technical drawings Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Industrial equipment troubleshooting High school diploma or GED Cutting torches Troubleshooting hydraulic systems Full Job Description Responsibilities Perform repair and maintenance on plant equipment, machinery, and building systems Troubleshoot and repair presses, conveyors, CNC equipment, assembly machinery, and automated systems Support production and maintenance team goals across multiple departments Assist with equipment set-ups and continuous improvement initiatives Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices Complete preventive maintenance tasks, corrective repairs, and equipment improvements Accurately complete maintenance documentation, downtime tracking, and work orders Operate forklifts and aerial lifts as needed Participate in lean manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives Support overall plant operations and additional maintenance projects as assigned Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics Experience with MIG and/or arc welding and cutting torches Experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Knowledge of manufacturing quality and environmental standards preferred Some PLC troubleshooting experience preferred Education High School Diploma or GED required Technical or vocational training preferred Experience Minimum of 5 years of industrial or plant maintenance experience preferred You should be proficient in: Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems Pneumatics Troubleshooting Maintenance and Repair Skills Industrial Electrical Experience Industrial Electrical Systems Equipment Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
