Job Description
Warren Screw Products, Inc. (WSP) is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with experience in welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical repair . This is a varied position where priorities can change daily based on production and facility needs. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment. Diagnose and repair major and minor equipment and facility issues. Perform and document preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems. Assist machine repair personnel with troubleshooting, equipment disassembly/reassembly, and repairs. Perform welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, and machine-building projects. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Perform basic electrical and electronic troubleshooting and repairs. Perform plumbing, lighting, dock, and general facility maintenance. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals. Safely operate and use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Assist with heavy equipment handling, installation, repair, and relocation as needed. Identify potential equipment or facility issues and address them before they become larger problems. Maintain accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records. Keep the maintenance area, shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized on a daily basis. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and applicable OSHA requirements. Perform other maintenance and repair duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, machine repair, or a related field. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with welding and metal fabrication. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience with electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical systems. Experience with plumbing and general facility maintenance. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Ability to safely handle and work around heavy equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and cleanliness. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently while also working effectively with the maintenance and production teams. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects based on urgency and production needs. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and working in various positions as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment. Machine building or machine installation experience. Pipe fitting experience. Welding certification or formal welding training. Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical/electronic systems. Experience with PLCs or basic controls troubleshooting. Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
