Job Description

Keep mission‑critical presses running on 2nd shift Bring your seasoned manufacturing press and machine repair expertise to BAE Industries. In this role, you will reliably travel between two nearby plants to support maintenance needs across both facilities. What your day looks like You'll move from line to line, zeroing in on problems through sight, sound, and measurement. You'll work hands-on with coil‑fed metal stamping presses, weld cells, compressors, metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems, and automated lubrication systems—restoring uptime and preventing repeat issues. Diagnose issues by visually inspecting and listening to equipment to pinpoint malfunctions. Dismantle machines and equipment to access problem areas safely and efficiently. Measure and inspect components to identify wear, misalignment, or other defects. Replace worn or failed parts in drive mechanisms and hydraulic systems. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical presses. Realign and adjust elements such as spindles and clutches for optimal performance. Locate damaged air/hydraulic lines; measure, cut, thread, and install new piping. Start and test machines post‑repair to verify proper operation. Repair or fabricate parts using a lathe, drill press, and grinder as needed. Modify and fine‑tune computer‑controlled motion within automated systems. What you bring Direct, hands‑on experience as a manufacturing press and machine repair professional. Background repairing metal stamping presses, plus exposure to weld cells and compressors. Strength in equipment, mechanical, and general troubleshooting. Knowledge of metal stamping and forming, including progressive die operations. Ability to reliably travel between two plant locations to support both sites.
