Job Description
Asphalt Plant Maintenance Technician Black Gold Holdings is seeking a motivated Asphalt Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing the equipment that keeps our asphalt plant operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting equipment, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This is a seasonal position, and work schedules may include days, nights, overtime, and weekends depending on production demands. Position Summary The Asphalt Plant Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, welding, and equipment inspections to minimize downtime and maximize plant productivity. This role works closely with plant personnel to ensure equipment is operating safely and reliably throughout the construction season. Essential Job Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, including conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, motors, and other plant components. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including daily greasing and lubrication of plant equipment. Complete routine safety inspections and identify equipment issues before they become major failures. Perform general plant housekeeping, including shoveling, sweeping, blowing, and washing equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient operation. Remove material buildup from conveyors, catwalks, plant components, and surrounding work areas. Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and repairs to plant structures and equipment as needed. Operate equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, and man-lifts to assist with maintenance and plant operations. Assist with plant setup, repairs, and shutdown activities throughout the season. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices. Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This position requires work in a physically demanding industrial environment.
