Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve machine performance, and uphold safety standards across the facility. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend operational lifespan. Troubleshoot complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments. Diagnose and repair electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electrical blueprints. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs involving welding (stick welding), hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and electrical components. Read schematics and technical manuals to identify faults accurately and execute effective repairs swiftly. Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex issues related to industrial mechanics or manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Perform other facility maintenance as needed. Skills Extensive experience working in manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing electrical maintenance tasks. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematics reading. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, calipers, and micrometers for accurate diagnostics. Ability to operate scissor lifts safely (certification preferred) while performing maintenance tasks at elevated heights. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems relevant to maintaining climate control within manufacturing environments is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with industrial electrician experience to troubleshoot equipment efficiently. Experience with equipment repair involving welding techniques such as stick welding; familiarity with high voltage systems is advantageous. Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing issues quickly and implementing effective solutions in a fast-paced setting. Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration across teams; customer service orientation when interacting with internal clients or external vendors. Prior military experience or background in industrial mechanics is considered an asset due to discipline and technical training background. Physical Requirements Be able to lift 40 pounds consistently, and without help. Be able to carry, bend, push, and twist. Frequency will vary depending on the day's tasks. Be able to stand or sit for 10 hours per day.
