Full-time, hourly, onsite Maintenance Technician Opportunity We are hiring Maintenance Technicians for both first- and second-shift openings at a manufacturing facility in Chaska, Minnesota. This is a hands-on role responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility systems, production equipment, and process equipment. The ideal candidate has industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and working knowledge of electrical repairs, production equipment, utilities, pipefitting, compressed-gas systems, or HVAC. Available Shifts First Shift Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Second Shift Monday-Thursday 2:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. Four 10-hour shifts Initial training will take place on first shift, Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., for approximately four to six months before transitioning to second shift Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and process equipment Maintain facility systems, support utilities, building equipment, and exterior equipment Support the reliable operation of ammonia refrigeration, steam, water, oil, and compressed-gas systems Perform mechanical and electrical repairs Assist with equipment installation, setup, testing, and qualification Use the computerized maintenance management system to prioritize, document, and update maintenance tasks and procedures Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules Support manufacturing and engineering teams with equipment operation and maintenance Assist with air-quality testing, spare-parts ordering, tool management, and maintenance inventory Help coordinate and oversee outside contractors Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational-efficiency initiatives Maintain a safe and secure working environment throughout the building and grounds Complete additional maintenance assignments as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED required At least two years of hands-on maintenance or mechanical experience required Three to five years of industrial or facility maintenance experience preferred Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred; candidates with relevant transferable experience may also be considered Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair General knowledge of production equipment, pipefitting, liquid systems, compressed-gas systems, and HVAC Willingness to become forklift certified Strong time-management and organizational skills Ability to safely manage work orders and changing priorities Team-oriented attitude with a dependable and professional work style Ability and willingness to obtain a boiler license within one year if needed Experience with refinery operations, boilers, fabrication, ammonia refrigeration, or industrial refrigeration is a plus. Physical and Work Environment Requirements Frequently bend, walk, lift, carry equipment, and perform physical maintenance tasks Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds Work around industrial equipment, chemicals, utilities, and manufacturing processes Work in areas with moderate and occasionally loud noise levels Occasionally work outdoors in hot, cold, rainy, or snowy conditions Occasionally work more than eight consecutive hours or adjust shifts to support production needs Work at heights greater than six feet or inside confined spaces when required Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow all established safety procedures Compensation and Benefits $28-$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Health insurance 401(k) matching Paid time off Consistent full-time schedule Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
