Detroit Lakes, MN Job Type:

$60,000-$70,000 DOE Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong CNC troubleshooting, machine repair, and field troubleshooting experience. This is a hands-on technical position focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment . The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting CNC machinery and other metal-forming equipment and be comfortable working independently in the field or at equipment locations when required. This is not a CNC operator position . The focus is on repair, troubleshooting, technical diagnosis, and getting equipment back into operation . Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment. Perform CNC troubleshooting and CNC repair . Troubleshoot and repair press brakes, laser equipment, metal-forming equipment, grinders, and other industrial machinery . Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls troubleshooting. Respond to equipment problems and determine the root cause of failures. Work independently in field/onsite environments to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation. Use manufacturer manuals and technical resources to troubleshoot unfamiliar equipment problems. Troubleshoot the HMI, machine computer, controls, alarms, and other electronic/technical components of industrial machinery. Communicate with OEMs and equipment vendors regarding HMI, computer, controls, software, and machine-related issues. Follow vendor technical guidance and implement recommended repairs. Perform equipment repairs, component replacement, adjustments, and corrective maintenance. Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Document troubleshooting, repairs, parts used, and equipment history through a CMMS or maintenance tracking system. Plan maintenance work by considering parts, labor, downtime, and production priorities. Identify recurring failures and recommend improvements to equipment reliability. Required Qualifications 5-8+ years of industrial maintenance, machine repair, field service, or equipment troubleshooting experience. Strong CNC troubleshooting and CNC repair experience. Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability. Experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment. Ability to work independently and respond to equipment issues in the field or onsite. Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. Experience troubleshooting HMI and machine-computer issues . Ability to communicate effectively with OEMs and equipment vendors. Comfortable working with computers, HMIs, machine controls, and technical interfaces. High school diploma or equivalent.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

When a machine problem goes beyond your immediate knowledge, how do you use manuals, schematics and OEM/vendor technical support to troubleshoot it?
