A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This position works under the guidance of senior maintenance personnel while developing the technical skills necessary to maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems according to established schedules Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues Perform basic repairs and replace worn or defective components under the direction of senior maintenance personnel Complete assigned maintenance work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records Assist with installation, setup, and relocation of equipment Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations What makes you a great fit:
Experience:
2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred) Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Willingness to learn industrial maintenance systems and equipment Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to operate a voltmeter and amp meter, or willingness to learn Strong communication and teamwork skills Good organizational and time management skills Why work with our client?
