Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Grower to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and experience in cultivating plants in both indoor and greenhouse environments. This role involves hands-on work with various plants, ensuring their health and growth through effective irrigation, maintenance, and care. Responsibilities Cultivate and maintain a variety of plants in greenhouse and outdoor settings. Utilize hand tools for planting, pruning, and harvesting. Implement irrigation systems to ensure optimal water supply for plant health. Monitor plant growth and health, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases. Perform heavy lifting tasks related to planting and moving materials. Assist with landscape maintenance and lawn care as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including greenhouses. Keep accurate records of plant growth, treatments, and maintenance activities. Help build and maintain greenhouses and property. Skills Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating quantities. Experience with outdoor work environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. Familiarity with greenhouse operations and plant care techniques. Ability to irrigate effectively using various irrigation methods. Proficient in using hand tools for gardening tasks. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Knowledge of landscape design principles and lawn care practices is a plus. Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is beneficial.
