00 per hour Stable, year-round employment Monday through Friday schedule with variety in your workday Opportunity to work independently while being supported by a great team Work on a wide range of repair, maintenance, and improvement projects Use your skills to make a visible impact on the properties and communities we serve What You'll Do As a Handyman & Property Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining residential and commercial properties, completing repairs, responding to work orders, and helping keep our buildings and grounds in excellent condition.
Responsibilities include:
Performing general maintenance and repair work in residential and commercial properties Troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues efficiently Completing work orders in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner Performing light remodeling projects including painting, drywall repair, sheetrock work, and basic carpentry Completing basic plumbing and electrical repairs Replacing fixtures, locks, furnace filters, batteries, bulbs, caulking, and other building components Inspecting interior and exterior building systems and identifying maintenance needs Assisting with apartment turnovers and property improvements Maintaining grounds, common areas, and exterior spaces Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including salting, clearing entryways and sidewalks, and supporting contracted snow and ice removal efforts as needed. Ordering and tracking materials with management approval Using work-order software and mobile technology to document completed work Participate in a shared after-hours emergency phone rotation approximately four weeks per year. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes ownership of projects, and can work independently without constant supervision.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, remodeler, carpenter, construction worker, or property maintenance professional Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry repairs Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Experience using hand and power tools safely Good communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Reliable transportation and hand/power tools Ability to use a smartphone, tablet, and work-order software High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to pass the Kari Koskinen background check Physical Requirements Lift and carry 50+ pounds Climb ladders up to 12 feet Bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces when necessary Operate maintenance tools Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required Why Trekk Properties?
