Facility Maintenance Technician Roving / Multi-Property Position Summary The Facility Maintenance Technician is a roving position supporting multiple properties throughout the Oakdale, Woodbury, and Lake Elmo, MN portfolio. The technician travels between properties to respond to maintenance needs, complete work orders and preventive maintenance, assist other Facility Technicians, and provide coverage as needed. The position requires flexibility to respond to changing priorities and maintenance needs across the portfolio. Responsibilities include scheduled and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting building issues, and helping maintain safe, functional, and well-maintained properties. This position participates in the facilities on-call rotation and may respond to urgent building issues outside normal business hours. Key Responsibilities Multi-Property & Team Support
- Travel between properties based on maintenance priorities.
- Support Facility Technicians with maintenance, repairs, projects, and coverage.
- Adjust assignments as priorities change.
- Communicate completed work and outstanding concerns.
- Maintain necessary tools, supplies, and equipment. General Facility Maintenance
- Inspect buildings, grounds, mechanical spaces, and common areas.
- Perform minor building and fixture repairs.
- Replace bulbs, batteries, filters, and other maintenance items.
- Perform minor painting, patching, caulking, and equipment repairs.
- Identify and address leaks, damage, hazards, and equipment issues.
- Keep maintenance and storage areas clean and organized.
- Assist with facility projects, moves, and setups. Work Orders & Preventive Maintenance
- Complete work orders, preventive maintenance, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot and prioritize urgent maintenance needs.
- Document work and communicate unresolved issues.
- Assist contractors and vendors as needed. Minor Plumbing
- Clear minor clogs and repair basic plumbing fixtures.
- Address minor leaks and isolate water when appropriate.
- Escalate work requiring licensed plumbing services. Grounds & Irrigation
- Perform minor irrigation repairs and seasonal maintenance.
- Perform basic grounds maintenance and cleanup.
- Remove debris and maintain safe, presentable outdoor areas.
Seasonal & Winter Responsibilities Shovel snow and apply salt or ice melt as needed. Monitor and address weather-related hazards and storm debris. Assist with seasonal cleanup and property preparation. On-Call & Emergency Response Participate in the facilities on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Respond to urgent issues such as leaks, loss of heat, access concerns, storm damage, hazards, and equipment failures. Take appropriate action and contact supervisors, vendors, contractors, or emergency services when needed. Document incidents and communicate required follow-up. Safety & Facility Appearance
- Identify and address safety and appearance concerns.
- Keep entrances, exits, and walkways clear.
- Follow safe procedures when using tools and equipment.
- Perform only authorized work within training and qualifications. Qualifications
- Facilities/property maintenance experience preferred.
- General building maintenance and minor repair knowledge.
- Basic plumbing skills; irrigation experience preferred.
- Safe use of common hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work across multiple properties.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or on a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
- Available for after-hours on-call rotation.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Able to safely operate a company vehicle and travel between properties. Physical Requirements
- Regularly walk throughout buildings and grounds.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb as needed.
- Safely use ladders, tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Shovel snow and perform grounds maintenance.
- Lift and carry tools, supplies, and materials.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay:
$27.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
