Job Description

Troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on plastic extrusion lines, industrial electrical systems, and auxiliary manufacturing equipment. Job Requirements 3+ years of relevant industrial maintenance or manufacturing equipment maintenance experience. Manufacturing experience required; building or residential property maintenance experience does not meet the requirement. Electrical experience with industrial equipment, including systems up to 480V three-phase, or ability to complete required electrical training. Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience troubleshooting motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage through 480V three-phase. Experience using multimeters and electrical diagnostic tools. Ability to understand safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and equipment work instructions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work around elevated platforms and industrial manufacturing equipment. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Experience maintaining plastic extrusion equipment. Experience with dryers, crystallizers, extruders, and winders. Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment. Industrial fabrication and welding experience. Experience using welders, plasma cutters, torches, grinders, hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Experience performing root cause troubleshooting on production equipment failures. Job Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and mechanical equipment. Respond to production equipment breakdowns and maintenance trouble calls. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment. Diagnose electrical circuits and PLC-related components using multimeters and diagnostic equipment. Troubleshoot motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage to 480V three-phase. Read and apply electrical schematics and wiring diagrams during troubleshooting and repair. Remove and replace defective components on dryers, crystallizers, extruders, winders, and auxiliary equipment. Use hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to complete equipment repairs. Identify root causes of equipment failures and complete required repairs. Fabricate repair components, machine guarding, platforms, and other equipment using shop fabrication tools. Perform welding, plasma cutting, torch cutting, grinding, and related fabrication activities. Document equipment problems, completed repairs, and parts used or required in maintenance logs. Maintain tools and maintenance equipment in working condition. Support preventive maintenance activities designed to reduce equipment downtime and improve manufacturing equipment reliability.
Pay:
