Position Overview:
The Vision Companies is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Rogers, MN. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on electrical experience in a manufacturing environment, strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to preventative maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement. This role is best suited for someone with industrial manufacturing maintenance experience—building maintenance or facility management experience alone will not qualify.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production trouble calls Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Minimize equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting and repairs Electrical & Mechanical Troubleshooting Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Safely work with electrical circuits ranging from low voltage through 480V three-phase Remove and replace defective machine components using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes Test equipment following repairs to verify proper operation Fabrication & Equipment Support Fabricate machine guards, repair parts, mezzanines, and production equipment as needed Utilize welders, plasma cutters, torches, grinders, and other fabrication equipment Maintain maintenance tools and equipment in proper working condition Assist with equipment installations and process improvements Documentation & Safety Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and parts usage documentation Communicate equipment status and repair priorities with supervisors and production personnel Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
Required Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Electrical maintenance experience is required Previous manufacturing maintenance experience is required (building maintenance or facility management experience will not be considered) Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V three-phase Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Preferred High School Diploma or GED Welding and metal fabrication experience Experience working with industrial production equipment Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Working Conditions:
Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and fabrication equipment Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting continuous production
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the shift Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and components safely with or without assistance Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and lifting devices Ability to work around industrial machinery while following all safety procedures
