Shift :
5 x 8hr days, Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm, with some flexibility.
Wage:

Purpose The Brewery & Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, reliability, and general upkeep of brewery production equipment, building systems, grounds, and taproom facilities. This is a hands-on position focused on preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, facility upkeep, and continuous improvement. The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Director of Operations, brewery employees, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and outside vendors to keep our equipment and facilities operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Planning Maintain and execute the preventive maintenance (PM) program for brewery production equipment, facility systems, and other critical assets. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain brewery production equipment and related mechanical, electrical, and automated systems using appropriate tools and technical documentation. Receive, prioritize, and complete scheduled maintenance and repair requests while responding promptly to equipment failures and urgent maintenance needs. Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs, parts, and equipment history. Assist with installation, commissioning, modification, and startup of new equipment. Work with the Director of Operations and brewery teams to identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, safety, and maintainability. Coordinate outside vendors and contractors as needed, including technical support, quotes, parts and service, scheduling, and verification of completed work prior to invoice approval. Facility, Building & Grounds Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout brewery production, warehouse, office, taproom, and exterior areas. Perform or coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC and other building systems, as well as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general facility repairs as appropriate. Support facility and equipment upgrades, renovations, equipment moves, and improvement projects. Manage and support the brewery security and alarm systems, including routine system needs, troubleshooting, repairs, false alarms, and coordination with security vendors as needed. Perform or coordinate maintenance of brewery grounds and exterior areas, including seasonal lawn care and snow and ice removal, with an emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal. Required Qualifications & Skills We're looking for a strong maintenance foundation rather than someone who already knows every system in a brewery. High school diploma or equivalent; must be 21 years of age or older. Hands-on experience in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, commercial facility maintenance, or a related technical field. Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Working knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting, with the ability to use schematics, manuals, and technical documentation. Familiarity with industrial equipment, components, tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to organize and prioritize preventive maintenance, repairs, projects, and unexpected equipment issues. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and with outside vendors. Commitment to safe, clean, quality workmanship and a willingness to learn new equipment and brewery-specific systems. Preferred Qualifications & Skills We do not expect candidates to arrive with experience in every system listed below. We're primarily looking for strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals, good judgment, and an aptitude for learning. Brewery-specific equipment and systems can be learned on the job. Preventive maintenance programs, maintenance planning, and work-order/CMMS systems. PLCs, industrial controls, automation, VFDs, and advanced electrical troubleshooting. HVAC, refrigeration, glycol, compressed air, and other facility utility systems. Pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, pneumatics, plumbing, and process piping. Welding, fabrication, or other mechanical repair skills. Food, beverage, brewery, packaging, or other industrial production environments and equipment. General facility maintenance, equipment installation/commissioning, forklifts, and material-handling equipment. Work Environment & Position Requirements This is an active, hands-on position involving work throughout brewery facilities and outdoor areas. The employee must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, kneel, squat, climb, crawl, and work in awkward positions. Safely use ladders and work at heights as required. Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, including wet, hot, cold, and noisy production environments. Lift/carry supplies in excess of 85 lbs and team lift up to 170 lbs This position also serves as an on-call contact for designated after-hours equipment, facility, security/alarm, or other operational emergencies.
