Job Summary We are seeking a skilled manufacturing technician to join our team. We are a rapidly growing packaging manufacturer running various converting processes across multiple material streams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, a comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical system fundamentals. From day one you'll split your time between hands-on maintenance and learning how our machines actually run. Setups, process behavior, the judgment calls that separate a technician from an expert. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring that all facilities are operating efficiently. This role has abundant opportunity to grow and learn skills across many disciplines and specialized manufacturing. We are looking for a long term talent to join our company in the early stages. Duties Operate both paper and plastic converting equipment in a manufacturing factory. Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs. Perform repairs and maintenance on programmable logic controllers, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and facilities. Execute welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications. Oversee facilities maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Grow into the Go-To technical resource for the plant floor and maintenance teams Experience Proven experience in maintenance roles within manufacturing or similar environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various types of equipment. Previous supervisory experience is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating informal leadership qualities when required Who thrives here 2-15 years of industrial maintenance or machine repair experience (printing, converting, plastics, or packaging a plus — not required) Strong mechanical aptitude: comfortable with drives, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics; able to read drawings and schematics Curious about how machines make product, not just how to fix them, this is the trait we hire for Wants to be mentored by people at the top of their craft, and ambitious enough to become that person This job is NOT for you if You want to stay strictly in a maintenance lane, machine operation and process learning are core to this role, not optional You prefer a large-plant environment with narrow, specialized duties
