Maintenance Reports To:
Maintenance Director Are you an excellent problem-solver with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Newbridge Retirement Community is seeking a part-time Maintenance Tech. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of facilities, including, but not limited to: handling service requests, building lighting, and grounds. I. Job Responsibilities- Receives service requests for minor construction projects, capital improvement projects, and daily repair tasks.
- Assist in maintenance of overall physical building and property, safety program and preventative maintenance plan.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Prepare for Spring start-up and Fall winterizing.
- Perform maintenance on wide range of physical and operational systems (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, security, etc.) within the community.
- Maintain exterior and interior of all buildings.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication.
- Passion for working with older adults.
- Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ability to work well with others, communicate clearly and take direction from management.
- Ability to take initiative and go above and beyond to meet resident needs
- Knowledge of refrigeration, electrical systems, and general conceptual understanding of building maintenance.
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to, seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling or crawling, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 100bs occasionally.
III Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education, training, and experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year in building maintenance preferred.
