Maintinance Technician Full-time; On site, M-F 7am-3:30pm; Overtime as needed Environmental Dynamics International (EDI) specializes in developing and applying advanced technology aeration and biological treatment solutions for municipal and industrial wastewater. Job summary The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for maintaining company facilities, grounds, and equipment to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This position performs general building maintenance, assists with facility improvement projects and equipment installations, coordinates service providers and contractors as needed, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of working independently while supporting the needs of multiple departments. Essential duties and responsibilities Perform general building maintenance including replacing light bulbs, changing filters, minor plumbing repairs, painting, carpentry, and facility upkeep. Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and facility equipment. Assist with facility improvement projects, workspace modifications, and equipment installations. Perform minor repairs to machinery, equipment, racks, shelving, doors, and other facility assets. Maintain company grounds including inspections, cleanup, and seasonal maintenance activities. Coordinate and communicate with outside contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance and repair work. Assist in obtaining quotes and scheduling contractor services as directed. Perform light welding and fabrication projects as needed. Support facility safety initiatives and help identify and correct safety hazards. Assist with maintaining compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements. Maintain maintenance records, inspection logs, and repair documentation. Organize and maintain maintenance tools, parts inventory, and supplies. Operate forklifts, ladders, lifts, and other equipment safely and effectively. Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Complete other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Operations Leadership. Skills and experience
Required:
High School diploma, or GED. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a maintenance worker in a manufacturing, healthcare, or production environment Must have or obtain a class E Driver's License and internal forklift certification within 90 days of employment Strong written and verbal communication skills Safety Mindset Highly motivated and productive Works well independently and communicates well with a team
Preferred:
General manufacturing and carpentry experience General hand and power tool experience Basic electrical knowledge including meter comprehension Basic plumbing knowledge Demonstrated work experience in mechanical and pneumatic diagnostics and repair. Physical/work requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to perform routine tasks. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms to reach items on shelves. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand/walk on concrete for long periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Work environment Noise level may require use of Hearing Protection in areas. This position will mainly work in a non-controlled claimant-warehouse environment during the summer months. This position may require work on weekends and/or holidays depending on the workload. Mental Environment This employee can work under extreme deadlines, can manage time, and can multitask quickly. They have a high level of organization. The employee has strong fluency written and spoken English. Must be able to use a computer to complete tasks with a high level of organization.
