Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all occupants. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with appliance repair, HVAC systems, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment maintenance, along with excellent problem-solving skills. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and contribute significantly to operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. Install, troubleshoot, and service HVAC systems including air conditioning units and ventilation systems. Conduct appliance repairs and maintenance for a variety of commercial appliances and kitchen equipment. Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems in compliance with safety standards. Respond promptly to emergency repairs to minimize downtime and operational disruptions. Support maintenance operations by managing MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supplies inventory. Collaborate with team members to develop maintenance schedules and improve operational procedures. Demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior technicians and promoting safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a focus on appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical systems repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment maintenance, and appliance installation. Familiarity with HVAC & appliance technology standards and best practices. Knowledge of construction processes related to equipment installation or upgrades is a plus. Experience working with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) processes. Ability to operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and safety policies. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with customer service orientation. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
