Job Description

Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary Sacred Heart Catholic Church is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Seasonal Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and care of parish facilities and grounds. This role assists with general maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for parishioners, staff, and visitors during peak seasons. Job Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on parish buildings and equipment Assist with groundskeeping, including mowing, trimming, landscaping, and seasonal clean-up Set up and break down spaces for parish events, liturgies, and special functions Monitor facilities for safety hazards and report or address issues as needed Assist with basic custodial duties such as cleaning, trash removal, and upkeep of common areas Support seasonal projects such as snow removal, leaf collection, or special maintenance tasks Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Follow all safety protocols and parish guidelines while completing assigned tasks Job Qualifications Prior maintenance, custodial, or groundskeeping experience preferred Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repair tools, and equipment operation Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and take direction as needed Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends if required Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the Catholic Church The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
