This is a great time to join our team as we are currently seeking candidates to fill a Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at our Fort Belle quarry in Florissant, MO. This mechanic position is a Union position with the Operating Engineers local 513 (full rate of $34.41/hr after probationary period). Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Conduct fuel, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic diagnostics and troubleshooting on a wide range of mobile equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulics. Complete accurate written record of work performed. Communicate and work well with others in a safe and professional manner. Heavy Equipment Mechanic qualifications; Vocational / Technical degree highly desired. Welding certifications are a plus. Ability to multi-task, take directions, and perform well with others.
