We're a small, close-knit team , and we value people who take pride in their work, communicate well, and can be counted on to follow through. We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician who can work independently, solve problems, follow company standards, and take ownership of getting the job done right. This is a hands-on position with plenty of variety. You'll work at multiple residential properties throughout Kansas City (primarily Northland), handling everything from everyday maintenance requests and tenant repairs to getting vacant homes rent-ready and completing small improvement projects. What You'll Do Respond to residential maintenance and repair requests Troubleshoot common residential maintenance issues and determine practical solutions Perform basic to intermediate plumbing and electrical repairs Perform light carpentry, drywall, painting, and general home repairs Complete property make-ready/rent-ready work between tenants Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential maintenance issues Complete small remodeling, improvement, and repair projects Install, repair, or replace common household fixtures and components Identify additional maintenance needs and communicate them to the office Communicate professionally with tenants and office staff Document completed work with notes and photos using a mobile work-order app Follow company procedures and quality standards Keep work areas and properties clean and orderly Drive between multiple residential properties and job sites throughout the workday Participate in a rotating monthly on-call schedule What You'll Need At least 2 years of residential maintenance, property maintenance, or general maintenance experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic to intermediate plumbing and electrical knowledge General carpentry and home-repair skills Ability to manage your daily workload while meeting company expectations and deadlines Professional communication and customer-service skills Reliable, punctual, and dependable Ability to regularly lift and carry at least 60 pounds Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, reach, stand, walk, and perform physical maintenance tasks Own basic hand and power tools Smartphone for work orders, communication, and job-site photos Willingness to learn and follow company procedures and standards Ability to receive direction, feedback, and follow-up when needed Vehicle & Driving Requirements This position involves frequent driving between multiple residential properties and job sites throughout the day.

Reliable truck or van suitable for transporting tools and materials Valid driver's license Clean driving record Current auto insurance Ability to travel throughout the Kansas City Northland as needed Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible work-related travel.
