Job Description
Job DescriptionPrincipal Duties And Responsibilities Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenancePerform maintenance of electrical systemsDismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts when necessaryKeeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
Performs heavy cleaning duties.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
Gathers and empties trash.
Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment.
Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Manages inventory of cleaning supplies.
Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of standard cleaning methods and proceduresAbility to stand, walk, and bend for many hoursAbility to perform repetitive motion for long periods of timeBasic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systemsKnowledge of general maintenance processes and methodsWorking knowledge of tools, common appliances and devicesManual dexterity and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of occupational hazards safety rulesCommunication skillsAbility to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at particular heightsAdditional InformationWorking ConditionsWorking environment is generally favorable and in an office or manufacturing setting. Lighting, temperature and noise levels are adequate. Generally sedentary work but may require standing and walking for up to 80% of work time. On-call work may be required.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, keyboard and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
