Job Description:

Christian County is now accepting applications for a Maintenance & Repair Technician. This skilled position assists the Maintenance Supervisor in repairing and maintaining plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, flooring, locks and with general carpentry projects. Also will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the maintenance of County buildings and grounds keeping them in optimal condition.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Plumbing and/or Electrical experience Required Trade school or a minimum of four years of experience in one trade; or a minimum of two years of experience in two or more trades. The Maintenance & Repair Technician must have knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved with the maintenance, repair and operation of buildings, grounds and operating systems; possess the ability to effectively interact with Staff, Tenants, Department Heads, Elected Officials, and citizens; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the position. The successful candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check, a drug test, and will be subject to random drug testing.
