If so, this could be the opportunity for you! The City of Raymore is looking for a skilled and dependable Parks Maintenance Technician to join our Parks team. Raymore is home to more than 285 acres of parkland and green space, more than 20 miles of trails and walking paths, and outstanding community facilities for sports, recreation, and community events. This is a hands-on position performing skilled maintenance, repair, construction, landscaping, and grounds work throughout our parks and facilities. How You Will Make an Impact Your days will be anything but boring. You'll work across our parks and facilities performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including: Mow, trim, edge, and maintain turf and landscaped areas Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees; maintain flower beds and landscaped areas Prune trees and shrubs and remove leaves, limbs, and other debris Spread and haul dirt, mulch, ground cover, and other materials Apply fertilizer and weed control products Maintain and service irrigation systems Groom and maintain athletic fields Install, repair, and maintain park facilities, structures, fencing, courts, and equipment Perform general construction and carpentry work Make light plumbing and electrical repairs and installations Repair and maintain picnic areas, restrooms, buildings, sports equipment, and other public facilities Paint interior and exterior surfaces Install and remove banners, holiday decorations, and event materials Prepare parks and facilities before and after community events Assist with seasonal operations, including snow and ice removal Work as part of a team on special projects and larger maintenance initiatives Put Your Skills and Equipment Experience to Work You'll have the opportunity to operate and work with a wide variety of equipment and tools, including: Tractors
