Hotel Maintenance Location:
Richmond Heights, MO, 63117 Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Task Force Contract Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and engineering operations of our hotel located in Richmond Heights, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the property's systems and equipment are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage a team to maintain the highest standards of hotel maintenance. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise all engineering and maintenance activities within the hotel property. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems. Coordinate and oversee repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Lead, train, and mentor the engineering and maintenance team to promote a culture of excellence and safety. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime. Collaborate with hotel management and other departments to support operational goals and guest satisfaction. Monitor utility usage and implement energy-saving initiatives where possible. Qualifications Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or similar role in hotel maintenance or facilities management. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Relevant certifications or licenses preferred (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical license). High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification is a plus.
