- MetLife Legal and Identity Theft Services and Pet Insurance with ASPCA LifeMart employee discounts (through ADP) on everyday stuff and larger purchases (travel, electronics, entertainment, and more) Dell Employee Purchase Program (EPP) discounts available for personal use Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all facility and production equipment, including SMETCO and Palmatic machinery, forklifts, yard trucks, compressors, and production tools Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems Wire, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems (24V DC through 480V AC 3-phase); read PLC, IFM, and electrical schematics; install and troubleshoot photo sensor logic Perform arc/MIG welding and metal fabrication; install and remove equipment as needed Maintain HVAC, lighting, and building/grounds upkeep Process PM work orders on time in computer-based maintenance systems; keep all equipment, forklift, and inspection logs current Ensure forklift certifications stay current and enforce all safety and environmental policies Manage spare parts inventory; source parts, obtain quotes, and coordinate with vendors Assist with training less experienced maintenance personnel and communicate professionally with management, operations, and vendors Qualifications 4+ years of industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing maintenance experience Welding certification (arc and/or MIG) and electrical certification/license required Valid driver's license required; associate degree or trade school certification preferred Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical (24V-480V 3-phase), PLC/IFM controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Computer proficiency: PM processing, inventory, email, and maintenance software On-call availability for after-hours breakdowns Physical Requirements Ablility to lift, pushing, and pulling of up to 75 lbs Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the shift Ability to work in non-climate-controlled areas (heat/cold) Ability to work at heights, use ladders, and operate tools and equipment safely Work Environment Industrial/warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures PPE required in all designated areas May require occasional overtime or on-call support based on facility needs PLA and its Family of Companies is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
