Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing garage doors and related systems with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that customers' garage doors operate smoothly, safely, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, utilizing your technical skills and construction knowledge to deliver top-quality service. Responsibilities Diagnose issues with garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, and tracks using mechanical knowledge and schematics. Perform repairs on broken or malfunctioning garage doors using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Install new garage doors, including door hanging, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture installation. Conduct glass installation for windows or panels as needed to enhance door functionality or aesthetics. Use blueprint reading skills to interpret schematics and construction plans for custom installations or remodels. Execute electrical work related to garage door openers and safety sensors in compliance with electrical standards. Complete heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or heavy garage door components on construction sites or customer locations. Apply caulking, trim carpentry, locksmithing, and remodeling techniques to ensure seamless integration of new systems or repairs. Maintain detailed records of service performed, parts used, and inspection reports for quality assurance and customer documentation. Qualifications Proven experience with construction site work, carpentry, metal stud framing, or remodeling projects. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various environments. Experience with glass installation, fixture installation, cabinet installation, locksmithing or related trades is highly desirable. Electrical experience related to garage door openers or safety sensors is a plus. Prior handyman experience or construction background preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly. Pay:
$25.00 - $70.00 per hour
